TRACE PICTURES NOMINATED FOR BEST REEL AT PROMAX

PromaxBDA announced that Trace is nominated for Best Reel in the self-promotion, show reel, company image category.

“It’s a huge honor to be nominated alongside the likes of Comedy Central and Disney in the self promotion category” says Trisha Emerson, Executive Producer at Trace. “The idea for this reel came from a rather awkward screening at an ad agency.  The Creative Director of the agency said that he had seen the likes of us 3 or 4 times this week alone. As hard as it was for us to hear this, it pushed us to position ourselves differently. And that’s when we had the idea of doing a hosted reel.”

“Montage reels really do suck!”, says Justin Stephenson, Creative Director and host of the new Trace reel. “Its nice to show people a range of your work but it really needs to be accompanied with a conversation about what our role is. You can’t really trust a montage to say it all for you. A lot of  work is the result of the chemistry of the collaboration between us and our clients. A straight up montage reel just doesn’t give you a sense of what that might mean.”
